Spa Fun...

So, after much delay, the spa arrived, and we got it moved to the
backyard, hooked up, and filled with water. Yay!

Then, the Heat Limiter tripped.

This is the neat little device that stops the heater from heating when
the water temp gets above 112F.

Of course, the water temp wasn't over 90F, so you wonder what's up.

Long story short: I've had pretty much nothing but trouble with the
spa dealership in terms of getting it fixed. After an ultimatum I
issued Monday (have it fixed by Friday and knock off $500, or have it
removed by Friday), a spa technician arrived at my house today
(Thursday). Of course, nobody bothered to call me to say somebody was
coming, so they arrived to a locked door and a barred gate. Bet they
were happy to drive out here for that.

So, sadly, it's time to bid the spa goodbye. I'll be getting a new
one, ideally the same make & model, but from a different dealer.
Probably looking at another month before it's all said and done, but
hey, got a weekend or two left in this one before it goes away!

Thanks again for all the help in digging the trench... it will NOT be
for naught! It'll just take a bit longer than any of us thought to
turn into something that actually relieves stress. :)

Cheers,
-e
