Every time I have been to the factory all of the shells are covered that our outside. If they are working on it outside, which is rare now, they cover it when finished.

In production models, the cabinet is the last thing to be installed, then it is wrapped. So obviously those are not production spas.

From Rob Hamilton, a customer currently waiting for delivery of a Haven spa.

My name is Rob Hamilton, and I'm waiting for my Springville. I live in Palo Cedro, about 10 miles from the Phoenix factory in Anderson. I'm a physician and work in Redding and Red Bluff.

You're right, there are many spas sitting without panels around the factory. I walked amongst them with Norville, the gentleman who toured me. That is where they put them until they move into the finishing area. They are apparently not rejects or blems, or so Norville said.

I called Norville at the factory and he states that the spas now sitting in those areas in front are actually there in the testing area prior to being shipped. According to the factory, many of those are European models and they have to "bleach" them out before sending them. It is a requirement for Europe. They are covered each day. During the day they are constantly being moved about as well.

Oh my, now there's MORE

One of the photos on that tripod site is of the rejects setting out to be refurbished.

Which is it? Are they waiting to be finished? Are they European models? Are they returns? Rejects? The only thing obvious, is that they are uncovered, and the story keeps changing.

Well now, as it turns out, a simple request provided a few more pictures. The follwing pictures were taken on November 1st, 2002

So tightly coverd to protect from sun damage!

Is this a public road, sneaking right by the factory?

Notice the lack of sprayed-on insulation? Ready for the finishing area?

Notice how well those cabinets are bleaching out?

For those perusing the Phoenix factory photos from July and November last year (2002), it's business as usual.

About 60 incomplete spas are in the que in front of the factory braving the elements- Sun, rain, and public scrutiny... And a pile 8 or 10 of obviously gutted spas occupies the north end of the yard- some in their previous life having 'premium' features like TV screens, stereo speakers--- plumbing, jets... Makes you wonder what might be being 'recycled'.

At the main entrance about a dozen spas staged for shipping marked "United Spas".

Were there any real improvement of conditions I'd gladly document the advance, however more pictures of 'business-as-usual' are not forthcoming.
